Grab@Pizza – an interactive workshop on Business & IT alignment
Grab@Pizza takes place in 1 day and is perfect as part of a team building day.
What happens when the business decides on a project that involves IT and IT solutions? A classic situation – the business's strategy and objectives are unknown territory for the IT department.
Typically, IT must implement changes with limited resources and under time pressure. This can lead to the risk of capacity problems and errors, and sometimes result in the business not achieving the desired benefit from the IT solution. Grab@Pizza allows you to try out exactly these situations in practice, so that you will feel firsthand the effect of both the good and the bad cooperation between business and IT.
The simulation game
We all know the feeling. The business is planning major projects and market initiatives, but do they remember that IT must be sworn in? - probably not, and this can mean that the end user ends up not having the right tools. In Grab@Pizza, it is precisely the context. How do we ensure that IT knows the priorities of the business and vice versa. In the simulation game, this cooperation is trained and to succeed, the processes (ITIL) must be in place, be solid and everyone who works with the processes must be trained and know their roles.
If all goes well, Grab@Pizza can sell 10 million pizzas during the Superbowl final - but only if IT solutions do not crash during the final itself. The team that succeeds wins the match.
Profit:
After completing the simulation, participants will:
- Have a good understanding of why it is important to always be aligned between IT and the business (DevOps)
- Know how resources can be used best in relation to the business priorities
- Be sharper on the processes Business Relationship, Service Level, Change and Release Management as well as Incident and Problem Management
- Have had a fun and very educational day together, which strengthens cross-functional cooperation
The simulation is aimed at IT employees who work precisely with the interfaces to the business, process people and not least the business, who can greatly benefit from understanding IT and the challenges that exist.
