ITIL 4 Foundation gives you the basic prerequisites for working with IT Service Management.

In the course, you will gain an understanding of ITIL 4's Service Management framework and concepts, and you will learn how ITIL 4 supports modern technologies and ways of working.

Furthermore, the course strengthens your CV and expands your set of competencies, so that you will be able to apply for and take on roles within IT support and IT management. Most IT organisations require an ITIL Foundation certification for all roles, so having this certification gives you an advantage when applying for jobs in the IT world.

Since 1988, when the first version was released, several versions have been released. Most recently in 2011, and now ITIL 4 in early 2019.

From 1 February, all ITIL courses include an English electronic book and a voucher-based English exam.

It is thus not possible to buy an ITIL course without a book or exam, and therefore we state our price as a total price all incl. If you want a physical book, this must be purchased separately, and you will still receive an e-book in your course package.

With a voucher-based exam, you take the exam according to your teaching course, at a time that suits you.

With us, you get, as something completely unique, access to our e-learning both for preparation, but also for repetition after your course.

About ITIL 4 Foundation

The course consists of 2 days of teaching by one of our experienced ITIL 4 consultants & lecturers and ends with a certification exam in English.

As a participant, you will receive the official ITIL 4 manual as an e-book, course material incl. notes (slide deck in PDF), a detailed reading guide in preparation for the course, ITIL 4 Key Concepts (PDF) and an Overview Poster.

Certification is part of the price of the course.

On all physical courses, there is full catering during the course days.

Exam & Certification

There are 2 test exams. Upon passing the exam, the official ITIL 4 Foundation certification is obtained.

Please notice: The exam is digital. Hence, remember to bring a laptop. You cannot use a tablet or iPad..

Who is the target group?

The course is aimed at anyone who wants to gain a basic knowledge of or already works with service management or other areas of IT (eg IT development). The course can be used in all service areas - but it is primarily aimed at IT service providers.

Prerequisites

There are no formal entry requirements to take a course and a certification in the ITIL 4 Foundation.

  • To get the most out of the course, it is an advantage that you have experience with IT Service Management.
Take2

Take2

Take² is an insurance that can be purchased when you enrol in a course. The price of Take² is 450 DKK, which is less than half the price of a normal exam. If you have purchased Take² and you do not pass your exam, you will automatically receive an online re-exam voucher. You can take Take² whenever and wherever you want. Take² can be used up to 6 months after your exam. Order Take² when you enrol.

Note: If you pass the exam in the first instance, Take² cannot be refunded or used for other exams.

    Introduction to ITIL 4 and the key concepts

    The first day starts with an introduction and key concepts in ITIL 4 and we create via the overview poster the full overview of which elements and components ITIL 4 consist of.

    We work with assignments/test questions, which are adapted to each topic to repeat, reflect and test the new knowledge in practice in groups.

    During the day you work with:

    • How Guiding principles can help any organisation in any respect
    • How Decisions will affect The Four Service Management dimensions
    • The structure of the Service Value System and how the various elements and activities interact with each other through Service Value Streams
    • Introduction to Practices
    • Assignments and test questions
    • Exam guidance
    • Test exam
  2. Day 2

    Practices and their application

    On day 2, we work with the purpose and scope of the 15 most used practices in ITIL 4 as well as the 4 most used practices

    • Define services
    • Create services
    • Provide services
    • Support services

    You also work with:

    • Review of test exam
    • Rounding off the day
