The purpose of the course is to enable participants to manage teams, departments and projects at work through developing, operating and supporting the IT department's value streams and practices.

In our ITIL 4 Strategist: Direct, Plan & Improve course, you get methods and techniques across the scale - personal management, planning the work in teams, departments and projects, as well as governance at the business level:

  • Strategy and direction, including risk management and portfolio management
  • Assessment and planning, incl. success factors and KPIs
  • Measurement and reporting
  • Continuous Improvement and Continual Improvement Model
  • Organisational change, including communication and feedback
  • Supporting technologies, e.g. service management systems and artificial intelligence

The course includes two practices:

  • Continual Improvement
  • Organisational Change Management

About ITIL® 4 Strategist: Direct, Plan & Improve

Course materials and exam are in English.

The course is based on an interaction between theory, problem solving and group work.

The course is intensive and participants should set aside time for homework during the course.

The course contains the official manual, course materials and certification.

Exam & Certification

The exam takes place on the last day of the course. Examination form and duration are currently not determined. The exam is mandatory and can not be deselected.

Upon passing, you obtain an ITIL 4 Strategic: Direct, Plan and Improve certificate.

Please notice: The exam is digital. Hence, remember to bring a laptop. You cannot use a tablet or iPad..

Who is the target group?

The course is primarily aimed at employees with leader or managerial responsibilities, e.g. team leaders, department leaders and project managers.
But methods and principles are also applicable to non-managers who can apply them to their personal management tasks, just as the course provides a general insight into what goes on in the IT department's various management layers.

Prerequisites

You must have a general knowledge of IT and an understanding of your own business.

  • The course requires an ITIL 4 Foundation certificate.

Take2

Take² is an insurance that can be purchased when you enrol in a course. The price of Take² is 450 DKK, which is less than half the price of a normal re-examination, if you buy it after completing the course. If you have purchased Take² and you do not pass your exam, you will automatically receive an online re-exam voucher. You can take Take² whenever and wherever you want. Take² can be used up to 6 months after your exam. Order Take² when you enrol. Later it is not possible to purchase the insurance. 

Note: If you pass the exam in the first instance, Take² cannot be refunded or used for other exams.
