The course includes the official Change Management Practitioner certification exam. The course consists of 2 days of teaching and is taught by experienced Change Management consultants. In addition, detailed curricula and a test exam are included.

There is full board during the course days on all physical class courses.

Prerequisites

To be able to take your certification in Change Management Practitioner, it is a prerequisite that you are already certified in Change Management Foundation

  • A Practitioner course is exclusive of a Change Management manual. If you no longer have your manual from the Foundation course, you can buy it from us at a very advantageous price
  • Before the course, you must have read the syllabus in the book "The Effective Change Manager's Handbook"

Agenda

  1. DAY 1

    Learning, project management and sustaining change.

    The first day of the course, we focus on learning during change. We
    builds an understanding of what project environments change initiatives are
    part of, eg traditional vs. agile projects. Finally, we take a closer look at them
    factors that enable change to be sustained in the organization.

    During the day you work with:

    • Brief refresher of the key points from the Foundation course
    • Definition of learning goals and approaches to learning
    • Different project environments and their influence on a change process
    • Identification of key roles and owners within projects
    • The relationship between projects and management / change management in
      programs and portfolio
    • Coherence between sub-disciplines in change management seen procedurally.
    • Knowledge of how established changes in the organization can
      maintained
    • Understanding of working with self-reinforcing mechanisms and
      levers
    • Introduction to the Practitioner exam with a focus on techniques and approach
    • In the evening you take a test exam
  2. DAY 2

    Definition of change, stakeholders and communication.

    On the second and final day of the course, we review key topics in depth, including individual and organizational change, stakeholder management, communication, influence and readiness for change.

    In addition, we provide practical examples of how Change Management theories and methods can be translated into practical application.

    The day ends with the Practitioner exam - a multiple choice test of
    2.5 hours duration

    During the day you work with:

    • Repetition and elaboration of theories and methods that are mandatory material
      in relation to a Practitioner examination
    • Practical examples and cases as an exercise in how you can lead one yourself
      change process in practice
    • Good advice for implementing a mature approach to change management in
      the organization
    • Insight into supporting tools and Change Management models
    • Exam preparation
