Become a Certified SAFe® Advanced Scrum Master

This SAFe Advanced Scrum Master course is for existing Scrum Masters and deals with what it takes to be an extraordinary Scrum Master in a SAFe® setup.

While traditional SAFe®

Scrum Master training focuses on the Scrum Master's role at the team level and program level, then the SAFe® Advanced Scrum Master course covers where and how the Scrum Master can support the organisation and teams across the organisation.

Thus, participants are prepared to be able to plan and execute at the program level (PI Planning). This PI Planning is a crucial component in the scaled agile development and how to work with Scrum across an organisation - including iterative planning.

The course works with the Scrum Master's role in SAFe® and how the SAFe® principles support agile development. Efforts are being made to identify bottlenecks and improve the flow and optimisation of delivery for both the individual team and the entire ART.

The course includes motivation of teams, team skills and structure as well as creating self-organising teams which is essential in SAFe®. The student will try out methods for process optimisation and troubleshooting so that they can facilitate this when they return home. An important part of being an extraordinary Scrum Master in the SAFe® universe is to support and help the ART management and especially the RTE with the program execution.

With a SAFe Advanced Scrum Master certification, you can work as a senior Scrum Master in a SAFe® organisation. This increases your value for teams and organisations working to implement SAFe®.

About SAFe Advanced Scrum Master

The course includes 2 days of training by Scaled Agile-accredited instructors (SPC5).

In addition, all teaching materials are included, including slides, test exam assignments, cases and first exam attempts.

Also included is 1-year membership of the Scaled Agile Community.

Prerequisites

This course requires experience with Scrum either as a Scrum Master or an experienced participant in a Scrum Team.
Insight into agile concepts and principles including knowledge of Scrum, Kanban and XP (eXtreme Programming)
Experience with product, software or hardware development
In addition, you must have good English skills, as all the material and concepts in SAFe® are in English.
